Rather than doing a review for each one, I’ll just rank them from what I thought was the best and what was the worst.
1. Back to the Cold War
Pros: Glad they didn’t make Putin another “Crazy Trump” Character, the story does a good job in the allegory of pointing out that the American side of things is hysterical and not really the moral high ground it once was, overall it had a good message
2. Help, My Teenager Hates Me
Pros: I think this was closest to an old-school South Park episode, the characters were on key and the story was pretty good for how simple it was
3. Pajama Day
Pros: A good allegory of the masks and vaccine hysteria, a great mid-episode music montage
Cons: The World War II references were kinda cringe
4. City People
Pros: Great characterization of the city people
Cons: Cartman’s mother freaking out about her son, felt too exaggerated and weakened the plot
5. The Big Fix
Pros: The Randy part of the plot was an interesting commentary, as well as a great mid-episode music montage
Cons: The “Token” is “Tolkien” switch contradicts too much lore to seem appropriate at this late stage of the series, Stan’s voice should’ve been redubbed
6. Credigree Weed St. Patrick’s Day Special
Pros: Randy had some good moments.
Cons: The hate for St. Patrick’s Day felt it overwhelmed any of the attempt of charming the holiday. I mean libeling the holiday as both being about molestation and racism, just felt like a low blow by the creators. I don’t think Randy & Butters work well in chemistry, as well.
What did you think about South Park Season 25? How would you rank the episodes?
