Do you Think South Park is Going to End Soon?

After the last COVID-19 special, South Park dropped some hints in-episode of the series being on its last legs, such as South Park finally being severely inflicted by the cancer known as cancel culture by the political network Comedy Central, and in-story narratives that Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny’s friendship not surviving past COVID-19.

Now with the current preview for the next South Park Special, it really gives the impression that we’re nearing the South Park Endgame.

Honestly, I hope so. I wouldn't want it to end up like the simpsons and (even tough I still enjoy it) family guy, making episodes for the sake of making them and ending up running out of ideas

South Park: POST-COVID Special Review

So after watching the POST-COVID special, it does seem this new adult version of show is going to be the norm for 1-2 more episodes.

I don’t know why they couldn’t wrap it all up in one special. But it is what it is.

As for the episode itself it wasn’t all that special, as a lot of funny moments are rehashes from this current Tegridy Farms multi-season plotline.

I feel like they missed the potential of aging up the characters, as the only one who really had character development was Cartman, and it is probably is the most interesting point of discussion of whether his metamorphosis is natural to character or not.

I guess it’s worth a watch for the interest factor, but I really hope they get back to Pre-Trump South Park soon or end the series in the coming episodes because nothing is more stale than getting rid of all the kid characters and replacing them with budget
adult knockoffs.

Wow, it has been only a day and now everyone’s panicking about the newly classified COVID Omicron Variant a.k.a. COVID-21. The South Park Creators sure got screwed by the timing, as that would’ve been a clever reference to call the in-show new variant rather than calling it the “Delta+ Rewards Program Variant”

Even so, great timing nevertheless, as people were under the impression COVID was over, but South Park jinxed it.

For me it looks sooooo good. I can't wait for it to be online one that one site (I say this because I believe its official) that posts every single episode in both spanish and english so I can see it. I don't have paramount plus right now.

I saw someone make a joke about Herman Cain Award winners (someone who denies or at least downplays COVID and is then hospitalized or dies from it) going on a "Delta Dream Flight" which is a reference to a Disney World ride that was replaced by the Buzz Lightyear ride. And we still don't know if Omicron is more dangerous than Delta.
Everyone thought the new variant would be called the "Nu variant" and nu and new are pronounced the same, but the Greek letter is actually pronounced nee.

Glad they’re not making fans wait a whole half year to see the resolution to this story arc. (Assuming Omicron doesn’t force a repeat of the past two years, extending it to a new normal.)

We still don't know enough about Omicron and it seems to be less severe and the virus will eventually be a common cold virus

True. Though Europe’s lockdowns does concern me. By January we should know the full extent. Hopefully the need to reignite economy doesn’t put extreme pressure on the hospitals like last winter.

Thoughts on South Park: POST-COVID: The Return of COVID Special

I liked part 2 better than the part 1. A lot of the jokes felt a lot better and had better South Park Chaos. I laughed a lot about the NFT humor because I felt that was something that South Park could handle really great. Hopefully, there will be more episodes making fun of it. Cartman was on his “A” game in this episode and I was glad his metamorphosis didn’t ruin the character.

Now that this “Future” arc is probably over, hopefully they can start the series fresh off with a soft reboot.

NFTs seem like something South Park would make fun of because if they weren't a bad idea furries would immediately use them. I've seen them explained a lot and still don't get it.

From what I heard, the recent and current NFT craze is because governments started forcing taxpayers to report their cryptocurrency amounts and by transferring into NFTs, they can avoid reporting it.

Much like modern art, it’s just a clever & nifty mechanism to launder money.

Just finished watching it. I love what they did with Cartman here. It was so cool to see that he could become a nice guy after all. Also Timmy talks
