Can anyone give me Game Dev Tips?

Hello. I'm a small game developer that discovered Earthbound back in April of 2021. I made a game that didn't go that well...
I am thinking to remake that game in a full version but I'm not that good at pixel-arting or making Mother 2-like characters can anyone give tips?

Thanks

When you want a personal section under the game in development section for your game, let me know. I’ll be happy to support you with the foundation to build your game up from.

I'm thinking of using MV to make the game. If it's not a good choice tell me any good software.
MV is good as long as you know how to use it. My recommendation after using it for six years is to really get into learning to use the eventing system. Many tips and tricks can be done with it to add detail to your game, for example, you can make 3 frame idle animations by editing the walking animation and making the event be constantly walking in place, wich will loop the animation you made. I believe there are plugins to make the animations longer by adding more frames to it and making it loop properly. After you understand deeply how to use events, then go find plugins (if you don't know how to make ones). People make plugins for free use. wich are really useful since you can customize them a lot and make your game look better. For the best kind of look, try to modify it as much as you can with custom graphics and plugins until it doesn't look at all like a default RPG Maker game, that way people won't think of your project as "just another RPG maker game". Finallty I'd say to take your time. Make a design document (you can look up online for templates) so you plan everything you want to do before actually doing it. You don't wanna improvise your game, it never ends up well. That's all my adivse, I hope you enjoy making games :)
