Not gonna touch on the topic myself since I don't know that muhc about it, but I can adress something that might be of intertest.
I deeply explore this in my book, but I personally believe that what makes us human isn't the fact that we're human as a species, but it's our charactertistics that makes us human. We don't have humanity because we're of the human species, what makes us different of animals is the fact that we can feel remorse, compassion, empathy and a lot of other distinct feelings that allow us to put our instincts away and think with purely morals.
