What was your longest shiny hunt?

So, we all know that shiny Pokémon are rare, being 1/4096, (or 1/8192 before gen 6)
And with the shiny charm it's around 1/1365, but getting the shiny charm is kinda hard to get.
And I wanted to know what was your longest shiny hunt?

My longest shiny hunt was for a shiny Cresselia in Alpha sapphire, and it took me around 3 years to get it lmao.

Doing rayquaza back in 2013 (it's been almost ten years, woah) took me the whole year because I didnt know about the RNG glitch in emerald, so until like half of the year I wasnt doing it right. I dont remember how it's dont but I know that once I found a tutorial It took me stil like half a year because I was really unefficient at it. That shiny is safe in my alpha sapphire right now :)

The other moves were dive and fly (typical nine year old moveset xD) but when converting it to my 3DS with PKhex it glitched and removed them.

Wow, you guys are awesome! I only attempted it once like 10 years ago with the starters from Diamond and Pearl, but I didn't get anything ahaha. I think I spent an entire day from morning to night and did around 300-400 restarts. Cresselia and Rayquaza are such cool Pokemon though, I'm glad you both got shinies for them! =D

Thanks! The only reason I had been able to do it was because at that age I was ridiculously stubborn with this kind of stuff. At his moment I cant even shiny hunt in legends arceus with a 1 in 150 chance (I believe that was the number)
